Since you probably also don’t spend most of your time staring into the distance while standing on the edge of a stunning rock formation with your dress blown back by an ocean breeze, here are some things you might actually do in your clothes that will make you want to check out H&M’s new collection. The video celebrates all the very different ways one can be a lady, and features women with a range of body types and ethnicities including ‘70s icon Lauren Hutton, transgender model Hari Nef, boxer Fatima Pinto, and Jillian Hervey, one half of the duo Lion Babe who turn Tom Jones’s kind of creepy, condescending "She’s a Lady" into a tongue-in-cheek feminist anthem in the advertisement. H&M’s new ad for their Autumn 2016 collection is a subversive departure from the fashion industry’s usual idea of what it means to be ladylike-and it’s freaking awesome. To look at most clothing advertisements, you might not guess that women participate in a number of relatively mundane activities every day, like eating alone, or riding public transportation, or going to work.

Ladies tend to do all sort of things in clothes that don’t involve making sultry pouting faces, or extending their spines at 45-degree angles and throwing their arms over their heads so their hair can catch some fan wind in just the right way.
